You have turdleheads knocking and they aren't taking no for an answer. What's your plan of action? We put the boat on the bank and hug a tree. Me and my boat owning buddies all keep a roll of tp in the boat. At night we go over the side. Mods if this thread is too over the top I have no problem with it getting locked or deleted.

Anyway I used this pic I took as an avatar for a while on one of the car audio forums I'm on.

When ya gotta go, ya gotta go.

Might want to get some plywood and 2 by's to build yourself a working poopdeck off the back of your boat ;)

Now that just ain't right, and here's just one of the reasons why....

A couple of years back I was trolling along on the aux engine in a borrowed boat (fathers) when the motors sorta surged, coughed and died.
Checked all the usual, fuel, spark etc, no joy. After 10 minutes of head scratching and yanking on the cord, it finally started, but nothing coming out the telltale, " Aha!" I'm thinking it overheated and shut down.
So any ways to get to the gruesome part...(you just know what's coming don't cha?)
I tip the motor up and one side of of the intake is gummed up in some kinda brown goo, it's not until I try to sorta scrap/flick it off with my finger and the odour reaches my nostrils the full horror dawns on me. Yeap a 20 square mile lake and I had found a little brown package no more than 2"x6'' (go figure the odds on that!)
Dry retching all the way, I finally got the bulk of it off the motor and out from under my fingernails and we carried on our way. I now check blockages with much more caution and while it would be going a bit far to say it scarred me for life, I'm highly nervous about any "nature" coloured substances adhering to any part of my rig.

So please don't crap in our lakes, make shore and dig a hole or if you can't get to shore ,crap in a container and take it home with ya.

;)

every mail order outfit sells a potty lid that fits a standard common 5 gallon bucket, and, bio degradable plastic bags that fit inside, for about 20 bucks. Solves the girly pp and poop dillema and a bucket is a must have on any boat anyway to hold stuff. When you get to shore just bury, flush, or dump the bag in a dumpster. Really a simple fix.

Skiwi,You probly hit a disposable diaper.they are like land mines when tossed on the side of the road.they absorb rainwater and turn to slick jelly.if you inadvertantly step on one(or 4 or 5 bundled as one)on a slope (like on the side of the road)while working, you will slip and fall on your a** ontop of what comes out of your a**,(but always worse w babypooh and the aforementioned absorbant slime).Your coworkers will think its alot funnier than you do!and may even give you a new nickname.Im glad I always had extra pants in the work truck incase of getting wet wading creeks or caught in the rain and really didnt like those pants anyway!the Nickname was "poohboy".we had named a coworker "poolboy" weeks before for his constant fixing his hair in the mirror and not wanting to get his clothes dirty and not working very hard either.he quit after a month or so.we called the tree pictured a "grunt stick"and would say 'Ive gotta go find a grunt stick"when working in the woods.always clear an area well and cover your mess well w the cleared leaves etc.tp lasts forever in the forest.also check the area for snakes, yellowjackets(ask a coworker about that!!),poison ivy!and especially Fire ants!Picture a grown man screaming like a girl,running/hopping,pants around ankles w tp trailing behind him stuck to his butt running/hopping out of the woods into a cut field while a carfull of family drives by!!!also make sure the grunt stick is not rotten or the roots are weak buy test hanging before using.it could get ugly if you hear a crack or the roots just fall out in rocky or loose ground!!The pause that refreshes.

most lakes/rivers have small creeks that drain into them, and guess where those creeks go through... cattle pastures. And for some reason cattle aren't too indiscriminate about where they let it go, and it often IS in the water.

A private pond I have access to gets fertilized by horses up the hill from it. A culvert runs right into the pond from that field. I've caught some really nice slap crappie and brim bigger than my hand out of that pond. It can't be more than an acre in size at the most...maybe 1.25. Still can't beat the taste of fish caught out of a deep clear lake though.

Cow or horse manure smells way better than our waste IMO.given the choice of having to scrape one of them off my lower unit!!dry cowpies make great frisbees, just dont try to catch one w your mouth open.

Many years ago.. In the army stationed at ft hood texas.. one of the guys got off his tank, went into some brush to 'do the do', dropped trou. bout the time he got comfortable.. got tagged on the butt cheek by a small rattler... He got choppered to the post hospital and was ok.... we had a blast trying to get the medic to suck out the poison though.

Oh man, it is just soooo wrong to do that in the waterways!!!!!!!!!

Can you say E-COLI!!!!!!!!!!! Come on guys, man up and do the right thing. Be prepared! You got every gadget and gizmo for fishing, some kind of porta potty thing, bucket, ziplock, isn't going to take up that much room.

We have the necsesary stuff on board, mainly for the little guys, we tell them it is ok to pee, but not to poo in the water.

Keep our waters healthy at least, K?

Fortunately most of the lakes and some rivers I fish have comfort stations at the parking lots. For the ones that don't I head for the timber.

Oy,

Either prep for the boat or camel up. It can't be that long between shore breaks.

So I've been on a few hundred fishing trips with my fishing buddy and I can count on one hand how many times we've been and he hasn't had to drop his kids off. Lucky for me I normally get hit while pulling the straps and putting the plug in.

Re: So you're out on the water and it hits you

We had a lake in our area that had so many drop offs on the shore line
that when the lake filled back to its normal level they had to close it for a
season do to the contamination. The thought that that many people had
dumped on the beach frightens me every time I think about it. I wont walk
around any lake any where with out shoes on.
