I wish I had taken a picture...

How many ski vests would you think a person would need in their 19 ft bow rider run about? Seating for 7 or maybe 8 if some are kids.

I opened up the doghouse to spring prep the boat. Noticed the bilge was dirty so I put it in the spring clean line. The girls started cleaning. I have a broke down hoist that we use to dry covers and Pfd's. Like a clothesline, except this is a working shop so we use a broke down shore station.

Anyways, I am walking by and I say to the girls "looks like you forgot to put the jackets back in the last boat." They laughed at me. This boat had 21 life jackets and 4 throw able cushions! All had been stowed in various lockers.

The better half had shoulder surgery yesterday...the nerve block is now wearing off. Poor thing, hate to see someone so sweet be so miserable...I don't mind the break from the shop although the work is piling up :(.

Came home from the cabin. Took the opportunity to mow the lawn, finally was dry enough for it's First cutting. Well, needless to say, finished in the rain......ugh.

Yeah, I ve been trying to kill my lawn but it keeps raining...sooner or later we will have a dry spell and I can cut it as low as it goes and hopefully it will brown up real nice. I like brown grass, I dont have to mow it!!! I'd rather be boating than riding a tractor...

I ve decided to take a day off...only gonna work for 5 hours or so. With the better half down from surgery I need to make the trek to the big city and get all the stuff I never think of. Dishwasher soap, TP, coffee filters...a bunch of stuff you take for granted when your with a Gal like I have.

Get the Admiral some flowers and something sweet to show your appreciation. It may brighten her day and take her mind off the aching shoulder for a few minutes.

If she doesn't like the idea, her aim will off.

Well, did the trip to town. Didnt think of flowers...got hamburger helper instead, lol.

Only got 1 boat done. Big job though. All bellows, gimbal bearing, intermediate shift cable, water supply hose, and resealed the drive. A1 gen2 pre 95. Its the job I dread most I believe. As I age it seems to take me longer. Had 4 1/2 hours in it. Should be more like 3 but that exhaust bellows fought hard. I hate, absolutely hate bellows adhesive. After all these years I still get covered in it. I gave up before reinstalling the outdrive. 1st thing in the am.

Well, I got sick of the wheels falling off my snap on cart (its 35 years old or so and worked every day of its life) and mister snappy hasnt brought me the repair bushings yet so I went to Hazard Frought and bought their chinesium 4drw cart and side table thingy. Pretty chincy and doesn't square up easily but for $169 its everything I expected, I am satisfied. hftechcart.jpghftechcart2.jpg

Back to the cart, it's got big wheels, 5in. So it rolls over all the air hoses and electric cords and what not fairly easily, although I dont have a ton of weight in it. Just the all the time stuff.

Yeah, probably shouldn't have mentioned the global warming part, I forget how folks fixate on that...wouldn't want to start something on my favorite thread...I have this issue of typing like I talk...filter free.
