and guess who flies up to the boat screaming and yelling?? a PETA activist, trying to take my pole (he was yanking on it trying to snap it, and it was a hand made pole made by my grandfather for my 8th birthday, back when me and him would go fishing all the time we still go fishing, but not as often as we did in my childhood. It had my name engraved right in the pole with some fancy threadwork where he wound the threads near the base, it means alot to me and this guy tried to break it), i slapped him with it. he then threw his flyer into the boat, and started circling around me and my friend, to scare off the fish. my friend then got angry and tried to get out of there, nearly hitting the guys boat.<br /><br />he gave me a flyer with these addresses on them:<br /><br />first and foremost....<br /> http://www.nofishing.net/ <br /><br />i went there and that page was such a friggin joke....<br /><br />then<br /> http://peta.com/ <br /> http://www.pginfo.net/ <br /> http://www.collegeactivist.com/ <br /> http://www.commandochicks.com/ <br /> http://www.meatstinks.com/ <br /><br />he was threatening us, and all that other good stuff telling us not to eat meat and all that usual gargabe, thing is, he didnt realise my friend was a vegetarian <br /><br />Anyways, fishing was going good till this guy tried doing circles really close to us for a half hour. i really do dislike those people....

Yep, those folks are truely screwed up in the head. They have a naive view of reality and try to indoctrinate others with thier unresearched and misleading "facts." I saw on the website above how they massacered a quote from Thoreau. By leaving out the subjective context, they make it sound like Thoreau disliked to fish!?! Go read it for yourself; he might be a pansy himself but I do not think he meant it to that degree. By the way, that was a good idea about the cats in the water!!! I would like to sic a legion of pit bulls to mangle them all!

Im gonna file a complaint today. Our local DNR has laws against harrassing fishermen/hunters. Where I live its hard to find a decent place to fish, and when I do, someone has to come and ruin it. <br /><br />Everyone wonders why I always go up north to the house on Platte lake near traverse city for weeks at a time. Its to get away from the city and all the clowns that come with it.

I know for a fact because (a family I know) gets their information/direction in life from the newspaper-- how sad. cotterman you are right, use the cats. besides if someone tries that with me, they just might not make it back to their boat. would beat the snot out of them and then take them to the middle of the lake and dump their useless #@$ in the water. then throw them a 4.88$ walmart special lifevest that i keep as a spare and watch them try and swim back to shore with that ugly orange thing on .<br /><br />Oh by the way, you should have mention that with his boat, 2cylcle most likely, he was poluting the water harming the fish. this is pushing it to the extreme but, in reality he is.

I usually fish freshwater with my much beloved Apollo ultralight fishing rod... now, I do have dozens of rods, but usually I fish that one, and ive had it since the seventies... and it would snap under conditions like that<br /><br />and then, AND THEN ... so would I<br /><br />when that azzhole got out of the hospital, when his bones finally healed, when his concussions cleared up, and when they fished both pieces of rod and the reel out of his colon (and the 4 foot paddle I would use as a tamping rod), GUARANTEED he would NEVER try to grab a rod from a fisherman EVER again<br /><br />My grandad used to say, boy, dont ever write a check with your mouth that your azz cant cash<br /><br />and when I was growing up, if you acted up, you better have been able to BACK IT UP, these clowns today hide behind the laws, they think they are immune, above the law<br /><br />smash a few teeth out, bust some skulls open, those p!ssants will stop "acting up"<br /><br />one thing about nuts, they have glass heads, just SMASH EM a few times<br /><br />

I was fishing in Holloway reservior, about a mile from the little 'marina' in Columbiaville, MI. Holloway is part of the flint river watershed, and i tend to fish where the old riverbed is, and also around a few submerged road/bridges from when they dammed up the river. Its not the best lake, but its one of the more decent ones around flint. I usually fish up north at the house on Platte Lake, but havent had much time to go up there this year, so ive been fishing here in flint. <br /><br />For any of you from flint, or the area, if you are out near columbiaville, go down clam road, and there will be a 'road closed' sign... you are now entering an abandoned road with a nice creek, and a very old collapsed bridge.... If you fish near the bridge deck, you WILL catch many fish... i pulled up about 4 decent sized bass in about 10 minutes tim there. Everytime i go there they are biting like crazy. That road may be very hard to get down without a 4X4 truck, since it has been closed for prolly 50-60 years, and its growing in. acroass the bridge you cant even tell where the road used to be (if you can even find a way to get to the other side) only traces of the road are a bit of open spaces where you can still see the road, but from the viewpoint at the bridge you cant see anything, it is so grown in and full grown trees are growing in the roadbed now.... its one of the best fishing spots i have found in south eastern michigan so far.

Pain--fish feel pain!!! I would like to teach that clown what pain is all about!! I don't know how you could have controlled yourself enough not beat the living hell out of that guy. To bad you could not find out where his truck and trailer were. You could have loaded up the engine compartment with his beloved fish I think I would be ready with some sort of plan in case you run across him again. Like a rod at the ready with a cluster of treble hooks tied on. He wont do much yelling with that embedded in his face.

Anyone that attacks you is to be considered a deadly threat. And since we are just normal citizens, not trained professional law enforcement, we were scared for our lives.<br /><br />So, anchor ropes, treble hooks, and flare guns.<br /><br />Here in Wisconsin, they added an amendment to the state constitution, right to hunt and fish. So now a violation such as this bozo's, would be a civil rights case. Well, if he were alive to be charged.
