Re: SNOOKERED!!
For the real big ones I use a live lady fish, the bigger the better, I just released one over 41 inches last friday. If working a shoreline a white jig with a shrimp tip. A funny story.... years ago I had a girlfreind whose father had lite tackle records for roosterfish and blue marlin fisherman. He lived on a brackish canal and while keeping my boat behind his house I noticed several snook below his dock, he told me dont even bother, I have been trying for ten years and they wont even hit live shrimp. So I bet him twenty bucks and ran up to the pet store and bought the biggest fan tail goldfish they had and that sucker didnt last 1 second when it hit the water. I did get poled and lost the fish but I did win my bet, he did grumble that I cheated. I always say, use a little fish to catch a big fish, especially one that might seem out of place...like a sitting duck. Mark
