Sneezing

This has probably been asked a million times- sorry. What to check on an engine that sneezes at about half throttle? It is an 90's vintage evinrude 40.

It's running too lean ... very bad. Usually a crapped up carb, but other possibilities as well.

Agreed...a sneezin' machine is a too lean machine. Richen the mixture a bit.
