I would like to have a snap-in carpet for my 1995 Tracker PRO V17 boat.
We?ve already replaced the carpet on the deck and cabinets. Now ? it?s time to rebuild the floor carpet.
I can?t find a supplier for the hardware, the stainless steel snaps.
Please let me know where to get this parts (at a reasonable price ? please).
Thank you for your help ? have a nice start-up into the new week?

Get a hold of a canvas guy (the kind that makes dodgers / biminies, covers, etc). They carry every type of mounting snap you could ever need, and probably get a heck of a deal.

Any local upholstery shop can help you out as well. Use nickel snaps if SS aren't available. They last just as long, are a bit cheaper, and seem of stay connected better (I'm an upholsterer...I know)

Dear Friends,
Thank you for your quick response.
As usual, your helpful info is always welcome!

A compliment to iboats - I?ve been reading everyday ? an exciting way to learn.

About the flooring, I may just glue that bottom carpet on the floor.
Again ? thanks a lot for your help - Santurinos

Don't do that!! Going out in the boat with friends and spending a day on the water is fantastic. If you're not fishing, have the carpet in place as it's much easier on the feet. It's way more comfortable. If you're fishing and you want to remove it, just unsnap it. When it's dirty, toss it in the driveway, spray a little Resolve on it and hit it with a pressure washer (fan spray). When it's almost dry, snap it back in.

It takes about 15 minutes to install 15-20 snaps. Like I said, take the boat to a local upholstery shop (they ALL have the quick snap tool), and have the snaps installed properly. You'll be much happier in the long run.
