Re: Smokeless oil

Been to two of the places so far, and nothing. They do have a Lucas Oil 2-cycle oil that says ashless formula, but not the one listed on their website. I wonder if I could mail order some.

I can't believe there is even this much thought/talk about mixing the oil. Just the fuel going into the tank will mix the oil if you add the oil first, and if you add it after the fuel, it will just mix right in almost immediately as soon as it goes in.

I have been filling up on the water and premixing for years and years, pull up I know I'm getting 30 gallons, dump enough oil in for 30 gallons, then put the fuel in. By the time your done putting fuel into the tank and then step off to pay...and the boat bounces a couple times, it's done. Never had an issue in 30 years, even before TC-W3.

None of the local stores have the "Land and Sea" Lucas Oil. Gonna try the Pennzoil Synthetic and maybe order some of the Lucas stuff for next year. Strange that it sounds good, but can't be found where their website says it can. It can be mail ordered from several internet sources, so gonna shoot for that next year.

I run the Pennzoil 100% Synthetic in my 90HP Yamaha and the only time you'd notice any smoke is when you first crank up the motor or maybe idling at the dock...you don't see it going down the river. But it's still a 2 stroke motor and it's gonna smoke more than a 4 stroke!
