Recently started my port engine and smoke began coming out of the ignition switch and circuit breaker. Breaker was hot so I replaced it with my spare and it immediately did the same thing. Called BoatUS and had them tow me back to the marina. Any ideas where I start to troubleshoot this?
Boat is a 1988 Sea Ray 340 Sundancer w/ twin 454's

How long have you had the boat?
There are fuses in several locations and there should never be smoking from hot wires unless the fuse was replaced with a higher amp type. Your ignition fuse should be no larger then 20 amp

Thank you this makes perfect sense. I will recheck the fuses.
