Smart Tabs with Zinc Anode

I have recently added SS smart tabs to my 175 Aquasport Osprey CC. The instructions indicate that a zinc anode must be added for saltwater use. My boat is in salt water maybe twice a month for the day. My question for you experts is: How important is it to add the anodes and are they needed for my amount of saltwater exposure? The boat is stored indoors when not in use.

if throughly washed each outing, not much. but as a precaution, if the lower unit does not have an anode, i would put one on.
