Man I wish I could build custom motorcycles. But those guys have real artistic talent, but I don't. I live in a little dump town called Opp Alabama. I work at a not so near Army helicopter training installation. Civilian aircraft mechanic. Some days are fun and some days suck. But if it was so good it wouldn't be called work. 8) Glad to have a job that I can make a boat payment with though.

I am gonna get me a set of smart tabs. Almost ordered a set last night. Lemme drink a few more beers and see if I order them tonight :devil:

Dammit, I ordered a set of smart tabs from the iboats site. The blemished ones to save a bit o cash. I have read nothing but good reports on these things. They say the blemished ones are even nice looking. Not to mention everyone has posted good to excellent results with them. So if these things dont work great can I burn down John D's house? Nah man just kiddin:devil:

My only real worries about installing them is the gel coat, the tie down straps, and moving the transponder.

I am gonna start a new thread and post pictures of my boats rear end tied to the trailer and ask for suggestions. I am sure I will get a lot of responses.

Chopper Doc if you want to contact me by email I have pictures. I installed Smart Tabs on my '05 Tahoe Q4 SF last year. I made a small modification in order to get them farther apart.My xducer worked out fine and the tiedowns clear just barely.I sent my photos to John so he may have them at nauticus.com. sumcat1@verizon.net

Pointer, that is pretty short sided. If a survey lauds the superiority of one product over others BUT the survey elimanated a viable product from it's survey, then you the consumer gets shortchanged.
