small hole in omc lower case

I have a 1995 Four Winns. I was changing the oil and noticed a small hole in the lower case. Can this be repaired without having to replace the whole lower unit

Depends on where it is. Was the gear lube compromised (water in the oil)?

Depending on the size of the whole and area, you may get by with JB Weld. But it would be best to have it welded professionally. Call around your area and see you can take care of it for you. A prop shop might know someone or may even do it. Can you post a picture of the damage??
