Small corrosion on the Sterndrive watter passage

Hello fellow boaters,
While Ive had removed my drive Ive noticed small corrosion near the watter passage where it touches the water Oring.
Should I clean it and paint with epoxy primer then PhantomBlack or leave it?
How about pittings after the cleaning and painting? does it affect the sealing surface?

I would lightly use some emry cloth where O-ring seats and reassemble. That is the cleanest "used"outdrive I have ever seen

I would sand the bubbles down and repaint using merc primer and phantom black so there are no sealing issues with the gasket.

And I would also say it is a very clean outdrive. Must be fresh water ?

Yes 6 months in fresh water per year only
