For those who have re-finshed a teak or wood slate based ski locker, did you add any grit or lets say sand to the finish to give it a little grip?

I just re-finished my in a '91 Rinker and it looks really really nice from a finish standpoint, but is so smooth that i fear it will be slippery as heck when walking over/on it with bare feet. But in the other respect I hate to add much of anything to it because the finsh is so nice.

Just checking to see what you guys think.

I used a polyurethane based finish on it for what it is worth.

All I did was sand mine down to good wood, and then oiled it up. On the last coat i left a little bit of oil standing on top of the wood. This gave it a tacky finish when it dried. As a test I threw some water on it and it was not slippery at all.
