Silly Question - Boat Registration Numbers

Help. I have a 2009 Q5 (Red) and need to put on the boat registration numbers. This is so silly but I wanted to know where anyone else put the numbers. I cant place them above the rub rail on the bow. Directly under the rub rail is a thick pin stripe and it looks stupid with letters going through it and is probably in violation. If i place it lower on the red painted part of the bow, it is barely visible.

HELP!!!

Take a look at the post "Old style vs new style trolling motor mount" in this forum. You will see where my numbers are on my 06 Q6. I am not sure of your paint scheme. Hope it helps.
