Heck, I don't pay to heat the horse barn. I'm sure as heck not going to pay to heat an inanimate object like a boat. The boat's lucky to be keep under roof in the equipment shed...lol

But it is nice to have a place that is not freezing when banished from the living portion of the house! (and the garage is under the house, so the heat comes from the house and the ground, not from the garage ... I am too cheap to heat garage space also, unless I am working in it!)

I have a separate 2 car garage with a wood stove for when things get too "girlie" in the house. No cars....lawn toys, tools and golf cart storage mostly.

I spent a week in Madison with those temps, after a 15" snow. Not fun.

Hey, I left my boat out in the single digits unwinterized. Do you think it will be OK? <snicker>

Has that question ever been asked on iboats?

Like Fleetwin, I took the boat out fishin last Sunday. Was about 77 at the lake. But, it was "fishin" not "catchin", it was nice though!

The power bill was $70 more than last years at this time. Was pretty high last year. Rate increases combined below avg temps is killing us

I lost my power on Friday night for no apparent reason. Lucky it was 30 out. Its 0 now headed for -20. Losing power at that temp could get serious. I spent Friday night heating with the fireplace (woodburner) and candles. I was all alone so it was not romantic - not that kind of guy.

My kids have no school tomorrow. It is the 4th day this year. Unheard of..

30 - 40 mph wind gusts thru tomorrow nite with windchills -40 to -60. Just did a little plowing tonite, 2 more days to go. More blowing snow than very much accumulation. It's nasty out there.......

Looks like a lot of schools have closed in Mn and WI.

Temps dropping quickly down south! Should be single digits again soon.

I'm going to throw out the term BOHICA!

I think one thing is for sure in that we will appreciate Spring a lot more this year than in the past 15 years or so. Calling for Snow here today with temps dropping down into the 20s by afternoon. I hope Spring isn't late like it was last year
