Just found out last night that Monday night he packed up his belongings and left. My wife called his aunt and said they pretty much talked him into leaving. They too also noticed he just hasn't been right in the head.

With him out of the house, he is going to go through Detox. Hope this helps him out. Our daughter is really upset of course, but didn't let her mom know. Anytime she keeps things from us, she knows that she will get the guilts put on by us. I hate to see this happen to the grandkids, but just maybe this will be better for them also.

The more I have thought about their situation, the more I think they should be split up. Both are acting as an anchor for each other. He doesn't want to work because she isn't working, and she just down right doesn't want to work. He is tired of handing over what little bit of income that he does make to her. Then she squanders it and he hears from the bill collectors.

I guess when that anchor is stuck and you can't move, you gotta cut the line.

I hope it all works out at the end of this long journey.

sounds like the best for all, she can do better but it may take some time, or he may come around after some time to think. It is a good thing to be a stay at home mom if she can. Good luck to her and the little ones!

SS, somedays, you have to let the kids hoe their own row. I know it hurts. Sometimes in our love for them we end up enabling them to continue doing the same 'ole. Hope all works out.

As tough as it is to do, sometimes it takes hitting rock bottom before someone wakes up and begins to claw thier way back up. Maybe this will be the significant emotional event to wake them up.
