Sick Again! Or is it the same old sickness?

Its the time of year for colds, and in early December I caught a cold. Then the next week, another, then the next week, another. Was fine through Christmas and New Years, then BAM! another cold.

Last night was the last straw. I had such a fever that I had the uncontrollable shakes most of the night with cold sweat. And to breath any more than a shallow breath felt like there was broken glass in my lungs. This morning I went to the doctor. Turns out I have:

1) Ear Infection.

2) Sinus Infection

3) Bronchial Infection.

Put me on antibiotic that should clear it up.

I think all these "colds" were really some form of infection moving about in my body. Doc said this is the worst infection from cold he has seen in a while. The reason it hurts to breath is the bronchial passages are so raw that it hurts to expand them. Also said the over the counter cold remedies were hiding the symptoms, so I thought everything was OK while the infection had time to migrate around.

Oh well, I will spend the rest of the weekend in the recliner with blankets and hot tea.

Hope none of you end up like this.

Sorry to hear you're not well Mark ! Take it easy and be sure to follow through ALL the meds . I'm no med professional but sounds to me like you've been fighting H1N1 ... is the Dr. checking it for you ?? Again take it easy , sit with your sketch pad and come up with some more projects to work on when you feel better !! peter

Same thing here.

i was not feeling to well off and on the past 3 or 4 weeks.

Out of the blue i got an ear infection. I NEVER get ear infections. like 40 years ago was my last one. I had the shakes and sweats like you did the other night.

I know others in my area have had stuff like this also.
Going to be a long winter if this keeps up.

Often overlooked is replacing your toothbrush after an illness. Not doing so can cause repeated flairups. Feel better!

I've heard that as well. I've also heard of some air flow studies that show the bathroom as a pretty disgusting place to leave your toothbrush.

I posted on the H1N1 shots - we couldnt get them, but we can now - next Weds Im gettin minne, is free from company at site ,what the hell !
