Should pistons have play within the cylinder?

I recently pulled the head off a 1989 Force 85HP. As I was cleaning the block for the new head gasket, I noticed that there is a little play in the pistons. I am able to wiggle them within the cylinder.

Is this normal?

The pistons do have clearance against the cylinder wall, the piston ring is what keeps the compression. the pistons will "wiggle" slightly if you are concerned just do a compression check.
