Should I add side engine stringers???

OK, so here is the thing... Im deciding on wether to fix the stringers, and floors on my old 20' Rinker. I have to replace the engine stringer also. Well I have the 3.7L with the front mount, so it has the one front cross stringer. Wile I am doing the work, what do you think of the idea of putting in side stringers incase I want to repower down the road? If so, anyidea where I would get the spec's for there size, and location??

Ayuh,...

I would put your boat together for the Here,+ Now....

If the day comes that you decide to Repower the hull,...
That's when I'd worry about mating up a different motor,+ Mounts...

Being Fiberglass,... It's reasonably Easy to add, or remove whatever needs moving, or adding...
You might add something Now that drives you Crazy, for something that's only a Dream til it Happens...

OK, Thanks for the info. Would anyone happan to know what the specs for them should be?? I have to replace the floor stringers alongside the engine anyway, so I might as well they are out of the way just in case.

Ayuh,...

Generally speaking,...
Mercruiser V-motors are,...
29" overall Width,+ 22, 1/2" C to C front motor mounts....
And,...
The V6s are 15, 9/16" C to C fore to aft motor mounts...And 28, 1/8" from the rear mounts to the front of the motor,Total...
The V8s are 19, 15/16" C to C fore to aft motor mounts,+ 32, 7/16" total from the Rear mounts foreward...

These are measurements for mating to an Alpha drive....
