The lake is ginormous for a desert lake! You can easily spend a week exploring it. It's called Lake Pleasant.

The lake has about 150 miles of shore line. With the exception of eastern metropolitian Phoenix, most boaters in the Phoenix area visit this lake frequently. There are several other lakes in the area, but Lake Pleasant is by far the largest and best suited for large crowds of boats.

I am lucky enough to live (Anthem area) about 15 minutes from Lake Pleasant.

I'm still intrigued by the launch. I'm curious about the protocol. We have some ocean launches here that are quite a few lanes but they are short in length. You'd think most people were backing up for the first time in their lives and they only have 1/4 of the distance seen in that picture. Must be a riot to watch if you're not stuck in the mix...

Wow thats a beautiful ramp. I thought the Ramp for the Charles River in Cambridge, MA was nice with its 2 lanes.

Im used to narrow ramps that are all screwed up because of people powerloading.
