Shortening a Bimini top?

I picked up a used Bimini top in decent condition. But it is 5 or 6 inches too wide. I am considering shortening the frame by 2 1/2 to 3 inches per side. This will mean that the fabric hangs down the side two or 3 inches more. I have no means to hem it.

Aside from blocking a little bit of side to side visibility, do you think the fabric would stay taught enough?

Thank you in advance

Thanks Skipper Scotty (said in fun), I was messing with it tonight and I think I can do it. It’s tight but it might work, if it puts outward pressure on the side glass. I will shorten it a bit

Just grab the legs with a short section of rope and pull them in a bit. You can tweek the bend by hand. Just don't kink the bend
