Shore power voltmeter question.

I have a 1993 Crownline 250 cabin cruiser. The AC panel has an AC 110V main switch as well as switches for the refrigerator, water heater, outlets, etc. When connected to shore power, all of these things are working, even with the "110 V main" switch off. Is this normal? Thanks....

No, that's not normal. The main switch should shut everything off.

pull the switch out and see if it's even hooked up

i looked behind the 110 VAC main switch and it seems to be 3 switches (small black boxes). one is 65 VAC and the other two are 30 VAC. they all tie into the one 110 VAC main "on-off" switch. there are six terminals (2 for each box) and only 4 of them are occupied by a wire. is this normal? i know it's hard to know if you aren't there to look at it and i really appreciate everyone's input. thanks again!

also, if the switch itself were bad, wouldn't it "trip" back to the off position each time i turn it on? it doesn't, by the way. thanks guys.

It sounds like you are reading the voltage ratings of the switches, not what they control.

here are the pics of the AC main terminal front and back. what i am trying to figure out is why the AC main switch doesn't turn the AC power on or off. the power is always there, regardless of switch position. the outlets, stove, refrigerator, etc all work with the AC main switch off. as you can tell from the pictures, the back of the switch has 3 black "boxes". one that reads 65 VAC and the other 2 read 30 VAC. there are 2 terminals (prongs) per box for a total of six. only 3 of them are occupied. is this normal? could it be a bad switch? i am not the original owner, so hopefully it hasn't been rigged or something. thanks for your help.

also, its hard to tell from the pics but there are wires hooked up to only the top left prong and the bottom 2 right prongs.

well guys, i think i have fixed it. i think the people who had this boat before me wired the AC switch wrong. they had the hot wire, coming from the shore power plug, connected to the same prong as the hot bus bar for all of the accessories. the switch now works normally. thank you for your help.
