Anyone done this?

I've got a 65hp Evinrude, the shock assisted tilt works 'ok', but my parents are well into their 60s & it's tough on them.

To go to Evinrude trim and tilt will run around $900 to $1000 plus labor (new parts).A company called CMC makes a hydraulic unit that will do this for under $500,and not so much labor.

Maybe go through a dealer,as some applications won't work due to steering cable issues. With the CMC unit, the steering cable is set back and moves in an arc,and may hit the boat.

DHP

Would I need the whole assembly or can I just replace the shocks & add a motor or?
