Hello all,
I have a 1999 24ft. Rinker with a 5.0 Mercruiser. At the end of the season I was having a problem when I shift the boat into reverse. It went into reverse with no problem but when I needed to shift back into forward, it wouldn't shift into forward without moving the shifter a little more into the forward position. Any suggestions? Thanks

I'd venture a guess that the Lower Shift Cable is tellin' ya, it's overdue for Replacement....

Bond-o,
Thanks for the advise. How hard is it to replace the lower shift cable?

Re: Shifting Problems

Did you get your issues figured out? We replaced the shifting cable last fall before we winterized the boat, but it is still shifting hard. We have noticed in the parts that some of the gearing kits are no longer available for the bravo 1 - was there a problem with them? Is it complicated with these new replacement kits.
