Shift Lever Question

My 1961 Evinrude Fastwin 18 slipped and fell over landing on the shifting lever/arm. Being pot metal it didn't have a chance. My question is Do I need to remove the power head to replace the shifting arm. This is on A Model 15034 1961 Evinrude Fastwin 18. Any and all help is appreciated. Eric.

Remove the remains of the handle.-----If shaft is not damaged you just need a replacement handle.-----Your location?

based on diagram it does not look like a PH removal is needed just rebolt a new handle
