This is the 4.3 distributor. Would that possibly be the module I could change if the 5.7 would plug into it? That number is on the 4.3. Would it be in the same place on the 5.7? Back of the motor above the bell housing?

That is a TB 4 the newer 5.7 should be a TB5 not sure if wiring plugs are the same but kind of doubt it. Have seen tb5 modules either on distributor or on port exhaust elbow . My TB5 module is bigger and rectangular with two square wiring connectors not one large single connector

Hey guys I finally got the engine serial number. 0K157141 5.7L I did find a broken wire behind the throttle shift assembly. When I turn the ignition on I have power to the positive side of the coil when I turn the key off no power. I forgot to mention that we had ran a bypass wire from the key switch to the positive side of the coil because we weren’t getting any fire at the coil. The motor would turn over but wouldn’t start. Ran a wire from the key switch to the positive side of the coil and the motor started. I thought once I reconnected the wire I found broken everything would fall into line but the motor still won’t start without the jumper wire connected. What’s weird is when I disconnect the jumper wire and turn the key on I have power to the coil when I turn the key off no power. My thought was maybe I was bypassing the shift interrupter by running a wire directly from the key to the coil. Now I have power to the coil with the key but the motor won’t start. As far as I can tell the shift interrupter is not closed preventing the engine from starting. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️
