Hello & Thanks, I guess that means ; 4-5 mph while In forward gear idle !?

Any idea what might be causing unusually high fuel consumption /flow readings (Garmin flow sensor) during low speed 6-7 knots ?
Flow can vary anything between 1 L/nm to 18L /nm … at cruising speed 22-23 knots , it shows a more stable and I assume, accurate reading around 2L/nm

I'm not familiar with the new tech stuff. At low speeds you will use more fuel. Your pushing a brick thru the water.. your better off at plane speed.

I was the carb float assembly adjustment upper and down , cleaned it of the TB cleaner carb ..the idle adjusting needle is doing the CW tight , then the CCW around 1.5/2 turns ..
I was taking the needle carb out and spraying it then adjust it ..

Hi. Where did you put the fuel flow sender. Being a carb…it is presumably an analogue flow sender that’s sending a converted signal to your plotter there. Depending on where you’ve fitted it..you might find that the closing of the float on the carb…may be having influence

indeed true , however I have some distance of no wake/ max 8 knots before I can go to planing speed..

indeed carb, but flow sensor is nmea2000 placed near tank.. however I just learned from another forum that my mechanical fuel pump is hard to get a stable flowreading from at lower rpms.. and that a “ Pulsation damper” might cure that…

Think that sounds about right. Might need some gear oil topped up too…if I could be so cheeky to suggest it. Unless you’ve done away with that header system and alarm. All the best.
