Are you joking? I've never thought of using a product like that on the face.

I normally see that advertised for women on their legs.

Does it burn the skin on your face?

I only replace the can when it gets too rusty, not because it's empty.

Don't let this thread get too far out into the 'net. If the Mfr's catch wind of this they'll start selling the trial size at the regular price.

Re: Shaving foam ads.

I've tried everything but the shower deal. I guess I need to try that as I rarely shave without a shower . . . I have over the years noticed that if I shave with less than a perfectly clean face I get a rash. I have too much of a shadow late in the day with an electric, and now that some of it is gray it is even easier to spot. Tried a goat recently. It took a comment from the UPS guy to stop that. He actually said "I'll tell you the truth if nobody else will. It makes you look old".

To JB's original question . . . I can almost never get a small enough dollup out of a foam can that I need more, one tiny squirt usually does the trick. If you use as much as they show on the adds you just have to waste water to get it down the drain. Seems like the propellant wears out before the product to me . . .

Same here except wasn't about to pay 35 bucks for the brush and mug.
Put the cake into a old coffee mug and a 2" chip brush works just fine.
Close to two years ago with same cake. :)

Me too. I've had a job where I had to be clean shaven since I was 19 and didn't need to shave before that. I managed to take off for 5 weeks when my second daughter was born so I thought I might be able to grow a beard. Nope. I had to work at the PD about once a week so no beard. I usually shave 3 times a week as mine grows slow and is blond so it doesn't show much at all if I miss a shave.

Re: Shaving foam ads.

i tried the goatee thing for @ 1.5yrs, it was about the same as JB. before that i always used a doubleblade razor with plain soap every morning. i tried a cheapo electric, but it left a 2pm shadow.
i think i bought 1 can of foam, and felt the warm water & soap did a better job...
2 yrs ago, wifie bought me a $100 norelco triple head cordless- it is the shizzle!
it needs recharge @ every 2mos. i got a desk job now, don't give a hoot about 5pm shadow, and no more razor rash.

I have one of those suction cup mirrors that I use in the shower. It's foshizzle! No missed spots and the pores are open wide for a close shave. And you can do it right after you wash your face.

I use a can about every month and a half or so then again I shave my whole head so about the amount they show in the ads is good for the whole head and yes I got a big head 7 3/8 hat size
