Has anyone seriously looked at Sharrow propellers? For my VP DuoProp the pair would be $8800 and a delivery date of 2026.

That Infomercial? I saw that Promotion a couple of Years ago.

It reminded me of "Amazing Discoveries" and had me ROTFLMAO!!!

I hope Sharrow was charged & paid for ALL the picture space used up on this site.
Did anyone get approval from Boattest to post this commercial ?

Nope. For the amount of gas I use I would NEVER EVER see the rewards from supposed fuel efficiency.

And I boat in rocky woody areas, hitting something is a given. So who's going to repair that when it gets hit...assuming I can get an aluminum version because if I'm stuck with ss then I'm gauranteed a prop AND an outdrive replacement?

In short: This isn't for my boat.

A Sharrow prop in aluminum probably isn't feasible. The blades would need to be much thicker, which would likely distort the design efficiency.

When they drop the price to <$1000, they should get some buyers.

I thought the Sharrow prop in the test was aluminium?

My first thoughts were the test/review seemed like an informercial but I don't know anything about Boattest.

Keeping an open mind, can't see me ever buying one unless prices become close to standard props.

Remains to be seen if they'll develop bigger versions for shipping companies / make props for airplanes... And (if so) if commercial shipping companies / airlines buy them.

Every ad/review I've ever seen has been SS.

Honestly haven't seen one on a boat. Either on a trailer or in a marina showroom.
