Shaky Mercury 80 hp jet

I have a 80 hp Mercury jet (2017) From new when I try to throttle up at around 2500 rpm it starts to shake like crazy and after a few seconds I get several beeps from the alarm and then will run normally. It does it every time. I had the Merc guy take it for a test and he said he couldn't get it do it and there were no alarms registered in the computer. He charged me $225 and it still does exactly the same thing every time. Any ideas. PS It is still under warranty but that only counts if they agree they can find a problem.

You need to do a water test with the tech, or show him a video of what's happening. Maybe you're seeing or doing something wrong if he can't recreate it? If it does it "every time" for you and he couldn't find it, then something is off.

Strange I agree. That he could not get it to do it. i have been running outboards for about 40 years. I had an older 75hp mercury jet on the same boat and it never behaved like this. I simply start to throttle up and it is behaving until around 2200 rpm then it starts shaking quite violently and will not reve up any higher for about 5 seconds then I get an alarm beeping 5 times then the engine starts to rev up and runs normally for the rest of the trip.
