Shaky Idle

I am running a 2002 Volvo Penta SX 4.3 GL and am experiencing a rough idle. I mean it literally shakes the floor of the boat. Motor mounts look fine, nothing obviously loose. I don't know where to go from here. Will I have to pull the drive and look at U joint? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i don't know yer drive at all. so with a grain of salt i'd say. anyways. if it's ujoints turning hard one way or the other, or trim hard up may lead ya to think ujoints.

of corse the question always is when was the last time ya did some tune up stuff, maybe a compression test to make sure ya are workin with something viable....

maybe some vp guys will come by and get ya hip.......
