hi i am looking at buying a new gearbox for my 125 force 1988<br />i need a 20 inch <br />i have been offerd on but im unsure of how to measeure the shaft from the top of the water pump houseing it is 21.45 inchs<br />from base to top 23.81 inch <br />how can i tell if it is for a 20" mid or a 25" mid
<br /><br />"Shaft length" is very misleading. It actually refers to transom height. 20" is most common and considered "longshaft", 15" is common on older boats and is considered "shortshaft". Extra longshaft fits a 25" transom and I don't think I've ever seen an extra longshaft Force.
