I have a mercury black max xr2 150 hp v6 I think is a 85 model, but the number series is A 166570 and I did not find it in mercury outboard model year guide I need some parts, but how I do without it. Let me say you, the serial number is near the tilt mecanism, May I find in the Block or heads motor?

There should be a silver plug on the cylinder block which has the serial number. You may look up the year at maxrules.com
