How can I find out the history of engine with serial number

What kind of history are you looking for? The only history Mercruiser would have is warranty issues that were repaired under warranty, by Merc dealers. nothing more.
They do not have some magical way of knowing everything that has ever been done to your engine since 92.

sorry about that, the engine is not from my 93' liberator. I boat a 93 cruiser for a song and an resotring it... The engine was a take out with, 30 hours on it from a much newer vessel. . I was wondering if there was a way by serial number to tell what year it is. I got it for 1100
The engine has serpintine belt and TKS carb system
It is a 350 with TB V igntion and a 2bbl carb says 250 hp on it.

The Manufacture Date of that engine was on: 03/27/2000

Engine serial number: 0L687022 Model number 4311025N1 MERCRUISER 5.7L ALPHA 5.7L ALPHA

If that engine has the TKS carb system on it, It did not come with it from new, But they do sale a TKS kit for that engine.

This engine did come with a serpentine belt though.
