G'day legends
Got another mystery motor with no manafacture plates was wondering if anyone could help me identify make and model
Found a serial number on the freeze plug but google isn't being helpful at all
Freeze plug stamp number is 008206
It's a old jhonson super sea horse best guess would be 40hp
I'll attack some pictures

Pictures are down....no one has been able to post pictures for about two weeks. They say their working on it.

You can send links like YouTube so make a video.

So if there is no manafacture plates on the motor due to someone has painted the motor and never put it back on
Is there any other way to get a make and model of a older jhonson
The old mercs could use the serial stamp on freeze plugs if it was still original

It would be easy if it were truly a Johnson motor. But 0088208 is a typical Evinrude serial number. Means very little without the rest of the number (model number precedes the serial number)

Unfortunately iv looked over the entire motor and that is the only number I can find anywhere on it iv found videos on YouTube that look the same that say 1966 but I'm not sure if it's that old the market place add said it was a 89 but I don't think it's that new eaither so match parts is gonna be near impossible

I brought this boat as a project boat for 400 bucks someone has tried to do something to it all the fuel lines and water lines are disconnected its forward steer electric start iv connected a battery and it turns over but I havnt worked on a motor like this iv traced all the fuel line but there's 1 line I'm not sure if it's running for water of fuel but where the line is sitting disconnected it has q end that's clear what it plugs into other end nothing
Other issue is there's 4 different pumps on the motor
I'll make a video tomorrow and figure out how to up load to YouTube to share hopefully there's someone hear that's seen one

Is there a tag on the carb with a number on it.
That might get you a little closer to a possible year.

An 89 would have 2 carburetors !----I doubt there are 4 PUMPS on this motor.------So stop guessing and post some pictures !
