Separating top deck from hull need advice please

HI all
I am about ready to separate the top deck of my 16 foot grew and it seems to have a type of epoxy or marine tex adhesive holding both of them together.

so I was wondering how one would go about to separate the two ??

Im in the middle of my restore, havnt put cap back on yet....

This is a AWESOME thread ! I have a Fish and ski that I need to do the same thing to and am also on a tight budget ! I have learned more in this one thread than all that I have seen so far ! Cant wait to see how it works out !
