Greetings,
Have A 1995 Sea Ray 195 And Want To Take Reclining Seats Out And Replace With 4 Pedistal Type Fishing Seats. Question Is, How Much Room Is Between The Plywood Deck And The Hull?
Thanks

Re: Seat Replacement

You need to turn your caps lock off, my friend.

What are you concerned about as far as that depth/distance? The old seats were screwed down, most likely. The pedestals will be, too.

Re: Seat Replacement

Welcome to iboats!

The amount of room between the deck and hull is an unknown but usually less on the outside as compared to the keel line down the center. Yup... I would use caution or you could put a hole in the hull (Have seen many people do that here).

Now this member's post shows some very good pedestal supports he built.... take a look at it for some ideas. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=243841&page=4

I have a set of pedestals I am going to install too but I am also doing a new 3/4" deck with pieces of aluminum below deck to make the pedestal mounts rock solid.
