Removed the steering mount due to my steering cable was bad and found out that the new steering mount does not fit the holes so I need to replace the backing in my console due to the size of the holes. I will need to remove the old wood and replace with a new piece without harming the fiberglass exterior of the console. The deck in my boat has finally dried so that I can do a better assessment of the condtion of the rest of the deck and examine my center stringer.
