Welcome to Iboats,
your mix ratio is 50:1
I use sears parts for my parts manual but I buy from Certified parts corp of Janesville Wisconsin, call with model and part numbers in hand

Thank You Mrcrabs. And now I have no cooling water flow at least that I see. I expect it to exit near the top correct? I did find in sears the impeller # is 36703 or 26511 or a kit????? 190144 or 190129. Do you recommend I use the same place in wisconsin? and whats in the kit? do I need this?

mrcrabs, I am concerned about the parts, Is eska my manufacter? I cannot find anything when I search with my model # and serial. Also cant seem to find a breakdown pic on where the pump is. Where do I seperate? Can this be done with just the impeller or is the kit required?

Re: Sears Gamefisher 15.0

Yes your outboard was built by the Eska company for Sears so Here you go for part numbers, http://www.searspartsdirect.com/par...47/1305320?pathTaken=&prst=0&shdMod=217586353

You will find one nut on the back of the foot, it may have a stainless cover but more likley on this model its up higher on the back of the leg also one bolt in the mouth of the exhaust port, be careful when separating because the water tubes are fragile and may already be broken off , hopefullynot, my best recommedation is buy the base gaskets and just remove the power head and replace any gasket thats needed, you will find that stuff cheap enough at CPC, they will even have your impeller, I just buy mine local because there a few bucks cheaper that way.

once you find the parts numbers call these people http://www.certifiedpartscorp.com/vintage/

PS stay away fro Sears when buying parts, they list thing they don't have on these Gamfisher outboards and tie up your money for a week or two, and buy a parts manual for your model while your at it...I think there about $5 with a order

OK Got it ! Again Thank You for all you patience and help. The first link above is not working, something is missing I tried to cut and paste several ways and it is not working. I suppose you are telling me then to split it and look at the gaskets first before ordering impeller. There is a thermostat on the side under the small cover with 2 philip screws, what are the odds that is faulty?
and Thank you so much for your advise

The link is good from here, copy and past will not work because this thing hides most of the URL, google sears parts and put in your model number.
The Thermostat is a can of worms best to test fire the engine and check for pee stream and heat before you go that far, in some cases that would be to far to get back from

OK, I dropped the lower end and the coolant line came out of the engine with it.I see no damage on the impeller . Is your opinion to get the seal kit as well as the impeller? And what holds the coolant in top of engine an oring like at the pump housing Also the impeller is tite on the shaft near the top , need to remove carbon. What shall I use? With your recommendation I am ready to order necessary parts

On that model, yes but its tuff to get it all back together...use fine wire or your little finger to guid the water pump tube back to its hole in the water pump as you come together with the leg and foot...good luck.

replace the drive shaft seal at the pump if its worn.

need to remove carbon. What shall I use?
I use a brass brush

I have a photo trying to show impeller, Can you tell if the impeller is installed correctly? It is in good shape and fits titely yet I have no cooant flow. By the curvature if the impeller blades I wonder if this was the problem????????impeller.jpg

well I would replace it and the drive shaft seal on the water pump, also you might check for blockages in the water pickup holes on the foot....dirt daubers love this area.

OK I will replace impeller and the drive shaft seal. Lower end is clear, I inserted the water tube into engine and seems a bit loose. I did try to push water thru the engine but no water I suspect because of the thermostat, Correct?
Is there a way to check it for obstrucyion?
