HI I have a 3hp sears outboard and I was wondering what year it is any help would be great.<br />the modle is 298-586193.

I belive that's a 1990 Tanaka built 3.0hp engine. Although they no longer make them, Tanaka's website has some very helpful information including owners manuals and parts diagrams free to download.<br />Your engine is the equivalant of the Tanaka TOB-300.<br /> Tanaka
