SeaRay 300 SunDancer Steering problem

My 300 Dancer had just developed a jerking when turning port or starboard (it could also be described as variable resistance when turning the wheel). It is more pronounced when turning to port. Before this last trip I had the boat out of the water, replaced the zincs and had a starboard gimble bearing replaced.

My boat is recently off warentee so I'm just now getting into the mainteance game myself. Any ideas on what can I check to diagnose the problem??

Is the P/Steering Resv. Full,..??.....

Will look at that 1st thing tomorrow. If the levels are OK, any other suggestions??
