i have just removed all of the old paint off of my 1965 starcraft aluminum boat. before i put the first coat of primer on, i know i need to re-seal all of the seams, joints, rivets, etc. what should i use? i was told that a sandable silicon caulking would work. how good is this info?

Re: seam/joint sealer

Gluvit is what I was told to use and silicon I was told to avoid. Gluvit is a penetrating epoxy made just for that use. I am headed out tomorrow to pick up some to do my aluminum boat.

I am going to use Gluvit-do it right the first time.
