Hello, I have a Montgomery Ward SeaKing I believe is a 40 hp. the Model# GG90264 Serial# 75X699955. It has two mixture adjustment knobs and electric start.Very clean under cover.

I would like to verify the Following info:

Year
Horsepower
proper fuel mixture
where I can find manuals

Now my problem:

I did start the motor and it idles fairly smooth but any slight adjustments to either of the knobs causes it to stall out. If it is throttled up in neutral or forward, it bucks and sputters like a bronco and smokes alot and tries to quit. I used gas that I use for a Johnson 9.9 (mid-late 70's) and I don't think it is the right mixture which is causing the smoke(the previous owner said he always ran it rich). Any recommendations for my malfunctions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
