I am planning the "Seafoam Shock Treatment" on my newly purchased 1985 Johnson 115. I have a separate gasoline tank that I'm going to use for the treatment.

My question is whether the shock treatment will affect the internals of my VRO pump at all....may be a dumb question, but just want to make sure.

Thanks,

Joe

Re: Seafoam and VRO's

it has nothing to do with the vro pump, other than clean the gas side. you add to the gas, the pump will pump the gas side and the oil side, just as normal save some of it put in a spray bottle . remove the air silencer, and spray into each carb, the same you would the deep creep. both are the same stuff deep creep is just areosol.

Thanks!

I just wanted to make perfectly sure that it wouldn't damage any of the rubber inside the VRO pump.

I'm hoping it will be clean as a whistle by Monday.
