2021 RXT-X300. Do I need to install a Tow Tap valve to prevent water from entering the engine while under tow ?

yes seems like any of them need it. I believe it is just a valve to shut off cooling water supply

ALL PWC need a water valve if towed. Your Owner's Manual should specify what speed is acceptable and where to put the valve.

Cant help with your machine, but I’ve towed my ‘97 Seadoo a bunch of times without issue. Yes I installed a valve to close the intake.

If the impeller is in just the right place, when towed water can be pushed into the into the cylinders

I've towed an older model without issue, but to be safe it should have a valve. My 07 model I installed a ball valve on the intake line, think it's 3/4 but check yours
