Seadoo rotax Impeller

Can one tell the condition of the impeller on a Seadoo rotax engine by looking in the jet tube on the outside of the watercraft with a flash light?

Yes you can see if there are dings on the leading edge or if its bent.
you can also look at the base of the blades and see if there is excessive cavitation wear

View the leading edge through the intake grate under the ski and view the trailing edge through the outlet.If either edge has any damage it should be removed and replaced along with a new wear ring..If the boat has cavitation it may need a new wear ring or you may have a bad seal in-between the ride shoe and the pump..
