Sea Ray Steering Cable

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the type of steering cable I would need for an 87 Sea ray with 3.0 mercruiser with quicksilver controls. And also where to get it. Thanks for any help.

There should be a part number embossed into the old cable close to one end.

Look up under the helm to see if it is a rotary, or a rack unit. Pull the old cable and take a measurement or read them numbers on the cable and buy a new cable
