Sea Ray 1989 CBOB deck repair

Hi All,

I have a Sea Ray 1989 CBOB and have a soft aft deck in the middle and also by the passenger front seat. There has defiantly been some rot damage as the marine ply there under the carpet is black. I have not taken up the floor yet there and was planning to start in the spring (cold in Sweden right now & she's outside!).

I would like to know what I am dealing with here and if you have any tips for how I should approach this project Am planning to go and take some pics this weekend.

First off, welcome to iboats. Pictures would be a help. there are a few of us here that are working on searays of that era. I had the same thing with a soft deck, which led to my stringers being rotten, as was the transom.

lots of work but not hard work. If you are attached to the boat and would like a challenge to fix it, I say go for it. Many of us have, and many are still in the process. Great guys here with much knowledge to help you.
