Hi. My son has the boat identified above and we are looking into renovating it. The back bench is the primary item we would like to modify and possibly split it into two battery compartments and a center are for a full post swivel seat. Any ideas on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Also, does anyone have original drawings of this boat and also the trailer intended for it. It came on an odd fitting trailer which makes getting it out of the water difficult. We have added guide posts and modified it some to help.

Thanks

No drawings of boat or trailer exist..

Modify trailer to fit the boat or buy a better fitting trailer.

Google for pix w make, model & year is about about only choice. Might find a brochure

These are old pics from repainting in 2017. The main goals of renovating it now are to move batteries to front and add swivel pedestal in the bench near the stern. The bench near the stern would have to be modified and my concern is whether cutting the walls that span the sides will weaken the hull. I appreciate any input here. Thanks in advance.

My only concern with a boat like that would be adding a pedestal could possibly make it more tippy than normal. IF it were my boat, I'd put a nice hunk of marine grade ply (sealed well) with a backer across that back bench as is. Then secure the pedestal to the bench/backer.

I wouldn't go cutting into that boat as most things are structural in a boat that size. You'll probably find floatation foam in the sides anyways and you want that intact incase you get swamped.

Thanks much for your input. Good idea and it takes care of my concern on hull integrity. I think a short pedestal attached that way would work.
