My first post in iboats. I have a simple question. Currently i have a 9.9 1984 Montgomery wards outboard engine. If i upgrade to a 1987 15hp Eska engine, would it make a big difference?
Probably not the big difference your imagining, going up 5hp, maybe a 1/4 or less mph depending on what type of boat it is pushing. No expert here though. Would think it would depend on your set -up.

Thanks man. I have a 14' aluminum boat. Is a v bottom. It rungs good just wanting a small upgrade. But if is not going to make a nice difference i will stay with my current setup.
